Screenshots for creating a new league
Select New League
First Select New League from the File menu.
Select the type of league
Select the type of league and your country, from the list of types available.
Different default options will be set for different types of leagues and for different countries.
The type of league cannot be changed after the point, however, the options that have been defaulted can be changed as required.
Select the basic structure
On the Teams tab select the number of divisions and the number of teams in each division.
Also select the number of times teams will play each other. For a simple home and away fixture league this will be 2.
Other advanced options can be selected; click the help button (the yellow ?) for more information.
Select names and number of frames
On the Names/Frames tab enter the name of the league and the name of each division.
The number of frames, the session length and the number of reserves must be entered.
If there is no set structure to a score, for example in football the score can be anything, set the frames to 0.
If matches are "first to" a certain score then tick the F/T box.
All these Names/Frames options can be changed later, so don't worry if they are wrong.
When all options have been chosen press the Confirm button.
Enter the team names
The team names must now be entered.
Either enter the names manually or use on of the command buttons on the right.
If this is a new season of a previous league then the team names will already be entered from the previous league.
Normally teams will need to be promoted and relegated.
To do this double click on a team to select it (the background will turn yellow). Then do the same to select a second team.
(To display a different division use the horizontal scroll bar.)
Then click on the "Swap" button shown by the arrow.
Repeat this promotion/relegation process until all teams are in their correct divisions.
Pair up teams
A venue may have two teams but only one table.
For these teams to play their matches on the same day then one team must be at home while the other is away.
Therefore teams must be paired up and they will receive opposing fixtures.
Again, double click a team to select it. Then double click the team to pair it against. Then click the "Pair up teams" button.
Once all pairings have been selected, click the "Finish" button and save the league.
The initial fixtures
The initial fixtures will be displayed.
Change the dates
The initial dates will be displayed.
The dates are automatically generated to start from the day the league has been created.
This will not usually be correct as fixtures are notmally published well in advance of a league starting.
The dates are easily changed. Also, extra weeks may be inserted for, for example, cup matches or a presentation night.
In the picture above, a knockout cup week, a catch up week and a Xmas break have been inserted.
All of these dates, titles and notes can be changed at anytime, so don't worry if you get them wrong.
Refine the points
First select the "League Options" form, from the League menu.
Different points can be set for different divisions.
If all divisions have the same points structure just set it up for the first division and then click "Apply these settings to all divisions".
Click the help button (the yellow ?) for more information on refining match points and defaulting match points.
Refine the options for each division
Several different options can be set to display the league tables and to display the league results.
Options can be varied from across divisions or the same options can be set for all divisions.
Refine the player averages
A team league may want to monitor the individual player performances of all players both within and across divisions.
Here is the place to set these options. The man of the match (or MVP) and the fairest player may also be tracked.
Set up the player bonuses
There are several individual player bonuses that can also be monitored.
The options for a pool league are shown here. The options differ for other types of leagues (snooker, darts etc).
The names of all options can be changed; for example, the "Captain"s frame can be renamed "Team frame" or "Beer leg".
How do you want to sort the tables
Several options to sort both the league tables and to sort the individual player averages are available.
Several general terms can be changed.
For example a league may perfer to use "Roster" instead of "Fixtures" or to use "Ladder" instead of "Table".
Several stats terms can be changed.
For example, a league may wish to use "MVP" instead of "Man of the match".
